A memory card will happily lie about its size, its age and its health. ASTRID reads what the controller actually reports, real erase counts, true capacity, wear and authenticity, and turns it into a certificate you can trust. But it's far more than a reader: the full ASTRID erases, duplicates, collects logs, provisions devices, updates over the air and backs up card images, the whole field job in one unit.
The problem
A memory card won’t tell you the truth, until you ask it properly.
Cards lie about their size, hide their age, and fail without warning. Fakes pass a glance and die in service. A card that’s carried data can’t just be binned. Checking all of that has meant a lab, or a leap of faith. ASTRID replaces both: it reads what a card actually knows about itself and turns it into proof, in seconds, in the field.

“I need to know a card is genuine before I fit it.”
ASTRID reads identity, true capacity and counterfeit tells straight from the controller, so a re-marked or fake-capacity card is caught before it ever goes into service.
“I need to securely wipe a card and prove it’s clean.”
Erase to NIST 800-88 (Clear or Purge), verified by read-back, with a certificate issued on the device, proof in hand, not a promise.
“I need to re-image or provision devices in the field.”
Write a verified gold image, pull the latest over the air, and inject keys and secrets to enrol or reprovision a device, safely, without a bench.
“I need to pull logs or data off equipment cards.”
Harvest operational logs and machine data from a card and sync them straight to the portal, tagged to the machine and job.

ASTRID reads eMMC health on Raspberry Pi Compute Modules and embedded boards through the JEDEC standard registers, and images a module over USB with byte-for-byte verification.

The range
Lite and Lite Pro are portable card checkers, in design now on our own board around a Raspberry Pi Compute Module. The full ASTRID is the whole field station and ships today: it also erases, duplicates, collects logs, provisions and updates devices, and backs up images. That is the difference the prices will reflect.
ASTRID price is RRP, ex VAT. Lite and Lite Pro prices follow when the parts list is final.
